Fordingbridge Town Council are taking over the information service provided by NFDC following the closure of the NFDC Office in Provost Street.  A new Information Office run by the Town Council has opened in Kings Yard, Fordingbridge and offers a range of information and advice on Town Council services, New Forest District Council services and Visitor Information.

The Mayor, Cllr Malcolm Connolly, said “I’m delighted that the Town Council has joined in partnership with New Forest District Council to continue to provide an Information Service in Fordingbridge.  It is vitally important, not just to residents in the Town but to those residents who live in the outlying parishes as well.  We have been able to join up the NFDC Information Service with our successful Visitor Information Service which each summer has proved to be so popular with both local residents and visitors alike.  With the office being open throughout the whole year it means that there is now a ‘one stop’ for all enquiries.”

The office will also provide a private meeting space for Councillors and Council Officers to speak with residents.

The Information Office is situated in Kings Yard, off Salisbury Street (opposite Fordingbridge Museum) and will operate the following opening hours:

November to March – Mon, Wed & Friday 10am to 4pm

April to October – Mon to Friday 10 am to 4pm.
