On Sunday 2 September, Fordingbridge Twinning Association invited its members to a very relaxing afternoon chatting over afternoon tea and exchange experiences of twinning and visiting our twin town Vimoutiers in Normandy.

Thanks go to Allison Rust and her team at Bridges Tea Rooms, Fordingbridge High Street, for an excellent spread for our tea party.

The next twinning event in Fordingbridge will be the ever-popular Musical Soiree on Saturday evening, 27th October at 7.30 pm, when the wonderful local band, Blue Tides will be repeating their performing from last year, at the Fordingbridge Town Hall.

Blue Tides are back by popular demand, after their highly acclaimed entertainment last Autumn: they play a wide range of vibrant rhythmic music from soul to Latin to cool jazz and will guarantee a true ‘feel good’ factor!

The evening will include a buffet supper with produce from France and Fordingbridge to continue the twinning theme.

The produce will have been purchased the weekend before, when members of the Twinning Association, will have just visited Vimoutiers.

(It’s worthy of note, that Camembert is a suburb of Vimoutiers, and therefore there will  be no shortage of cheese, Calvados and Normandy Cider at the annual, always-a-sell-out Musical Soiree!
