Mobile app – available on iPhone and Android

If you spot a broken street light or a messy bit of graffiti while out and about, you don’t have to wait until you get home to report it.

The New Forest In Touch mobile app lets you photograph, video and report problems directly to the council – where the issue will be quickly addressed by the appropriate service.

The  app, which is free to download from iTunes and Google Play, lets you report issues 24/7 from anywhere in the UK via your Smartphone.

The app enables you to report issues such as refuse collections, fly-tipping, street rubbish, illegal fly posting, a broken pavement or street lighting, problems with parking meters and pot holes in the road, abandoned vehicles, dead animals, drains and graffiti, antisocial behaviour issues and problems in your local park.

Other issues you can report through the app include:

    • Illegal dumping of waste
    • Pest problem
    • Refuse problem
    • Skip problem
    • Dog fouling
    • Bus Stop
    • Public Conveniences
    • Recycling
    • Complaint or Praise
    • Cigarette smoking
    • Car Park maintenance
    • Food hygiene
    • Light or Noise Pollution
    • Nuisance bonfires
    • Health and Safety
    • Planning Breaches
    • Empty Properties
    • Street issues such as pavements
    • Benefit Fraud

And by using the Smartphone’s GPS mapping technology, the New Forest In Touch app will automatically send your report to the correct authority. So, if you report a dead animal on the roadside in Wiltshire, for example, the report will be sent to the appropriate local council to deal with.

Using the mobile app is easy – to submit a report you just select the appropriate category, such as ‘health and safety’, complete the questions and capture the evidence with a photo or video, enter your location and send!

We will then get to work to resolve the issue and once completed, you will receive an email to keep you updated.
