The Fordingbridge Twinning Association is back with a vengeance, with a full programme of planned events!

Last Sunday afternoon, members of Fordingbridge Twinning enjoyed their first social gathering for a long time.

The pictures depict Helen at the Tea-party, with Alison Ayling, Chairman of the Association.

At this event, Helen Tague made her appearance as the new President.

Helen has been involved in Fordingbridge Twinning since its beginning and has visited Vimoutiers, Fordingbridge’s twin town, on numerous occasions.

For the first time for a couple of years, Vimoutiers will be running its annual Apple Fair, to take place in October.

Once again, Fordingbridge Twinning will be represented. This will afford the opportunity to plan the 40th anniversary celebrations to take place in Vimoutiers first weekend of July next year.

Members of the Association, Fordingbridge Rotary, and the Hyde Band, have all been invited, so that promises to be an excellent weekend!

The draft programme includes sessions with local secondary school students, looking at reducing food waste, a guided nature walk and a visit to a local stud.

Do put 1-4 July 2022 in the diaries. Everyone is welcome.

Other events being planned, include the annual musical soiree in the Town Hall, with local Band “Blue Tides”, on Saturday 30th October, (always a sell-out), the annual Murder Mystery evening on Saturday evening 12th March 2022, in St Mary’s Hall, and the aforementioned 40th anniversary celebrations in Vimoutiers: all dates to put in the diaries!
