A footpath running from Salisbury in the North to Christchurch on the coast, passing through Fordingbridge.
Augustus John
A statue near the Avon bridge commemorates Augustus John, the famous portrait artist who lived in the town from 1927 to 1961.
Blashford Lakes Wildlife Reserve, Nr. Ringwood

Fordingbridge Riverside Park
Visit the Riverside Kiosk offering homemade food and beverages. Day tickets for fishing in the Recreation Ground can also be purchased here
Paddling pool, skate park, children’s playground and fishing. Fun for all the family. Dogs are welcome in the Recreation Ground, but owners are requested to not allow dogs onto the sports pitches and to clean up after their dog(s). Dogs are strictly prohibited from the children’s play area.
Fishing in the Recreation Ground, Fordingbridge Day tickets can be purchased from the Information Office, Kings Yard, Salisbury Street. This allows fishing in the Recreation Ground away from the children’s play area. Members of the Ringwood and District Anglers Association also have permits to fish there.

Martin Down
National Nature Reserve. One of the largest area of chalk grassland in the country, supporting a wide variety of downland flowers, plus butterflies and birds, including the skylark.
