It is really good news that Covid vaccinations are going so well in Fordingbridge and the surrounding areas, and that there have been so many volunteers to help shepherd the patients around upon their arrival.
However, there is always a downside: The “Two Bridges Care Group” is now inundated with work and is seriously short of drivers and coordinators to help the less than able, the infirm and the elderly to get there for their vaccinations.
“Two Bridges”, based locally, covering the Alderholt, Fordingbridge, Godshill and Sandleheath, exists to assist getting these people to medical and dental appointments.
Because of the current very successful vaccination programme, “Two Bridges” is now in urgent need of additional drivers and coordinators.
Everybody in this organisation is a volunteer, and it survives financially on donations.
All petrol expenses are paid to the volunteers.
